Richie Eisler BBQ Edit

the Eiseler BBQ (EQ) is a great annual event, where Richie invites friends to come down to Regina to skate and eat some good BBQ…and possibly get drunk…possibly. Bottom line, the event is fun and great rollers go to it. So here is somewhat of an edit made by Soulskater20 from the Outaline messageboard to give you an idea of what went down this year. If you want to see the original post go HERE. To sum up the edit I will quote the creator…

I would not consider this an edit. i took the files from my point and shoot camera and put them in windows movie maker, then through in the song that was currently playing. thats it.

BHC Video Premier Session

The BHC wheel company just hosted their team video premier in the Bristol area of the U.K and along with the video premier came a great park session. Lucky for us Dom West got the session on video and made a short edit for all of us to enjoy. This edit unlike the rest posted today has music you may actually recognize. Lastly, this information was orginaly taken from Kingdom Magazine and can be found HERE.

X-Mas Battle Royale Edit

The Daily-Dirt blog just updated with an edit of the X-Mass Battle Royale that is associated with Rolling Rock and the Swiss Connection. This shows some great skating with really interesting music (which seems to be the theme of the day)

Rollfest 2006 Edit

The Hedonskate team page just updated with a 2006 Rollfest edit. I do not know much about the event so I can’t really talk about it much. What I do know is that the skating is rather good, and the music they chose for the edit is rather interesting. Enjoy.

One Magazine: 15 Minutes with Evan Stone

If your asking yourself, “Who the hell is Evan Stone?” then I know you have never seen the hoax one or two…and that saddens me, but lucky for you One magazine is here to educate you all. This man basically created the rollings image in the mid to early 90s and shaped how young rollers got into the sport with the Hoax. One magazine is giving us a little preview of what to expect in the next print issue, where you can read the full interview with Evan…but for now you will just have to read this little teaser, which you can find HERE.

In the interview you get to hear interesting stories such as

I remember Arlo and Brooke making up the soul grind. We were at UCLA, they were going from bike rack to bike rack, frontside to backside. It was really exciting to be there. It was a good shoot. I remember Arlo and Brooke were so venomous with passion; they were like, “Let’s start a sport.”

and

So basically “Hoax 2” was funded before it went on the road, totally paid for; we were in the red before we left, which was a good business decision for us. At the time, doing a lot of stuff for MTV

How times have changed

Lastly, if you haven’t seen Hoax 1 or 2 and don’t know what I am talking about, go to youtube and type in “Hoax Rollerblading” and educated yourself.
