Project Black Clothing Review.

I have been intrigued by Project-Black’s (P.B) clothing since they first started turning heads with their mysterious ads and their mysterious website. Thats why when I finally got a chance to see their clothes in person I was excited, so I decided to write a review on the clothing brand. I have bought a T-shirt and a track jacket made out of hoody material from P.B, which is the majority of their line right now because distribution to customers isn’t quite in full swing.

A little background to the company, P.B was started in Ontario, Canada and has a team comprised of advanced rollers from around Ontario. Currently the team is branching out to other parts of Canada. The P.B website is http://project-black.com/ Check it out if you want to check out their team and see a couple of great edits.

Price.

I picked up the T-shirt for $20 dollars Canadian tax included and the track jacket for $40 tax included. Picking up the track jacket for $40 dollars was a pretty good deal seeing as companies such as Valo and England sell the same product for nearly double (check out Aggressive Mall’s sweater selection for proof ). The T-shirt is a little less of a deal when it comes to price point, when many T-shirts can be found for $25-30 dollars on many Canadian rolling webstores. Initially, I thought P.B’s prices were high, mainly because I don’t do very much clothes shopping, but after doing my research I found their prices to be competitive. What you have to take into consideration is that the companies that P.B market against have mass production so it is easier for them to make many goods for cheaper prices. Hopefully, if production costs become lower in the future, we can see cheaper P.B goods.

Design.

From what I have seen so far, P.B have two main designs that they are selling right now. I bought both the different designs to compare the two. The graphics on the products are simple yet appealing to the eye. The clothes aren’t geared toward any particular style (rocker or hip hop), yet I could see just about anyone wearing them, which adds appeal to the clothing line. The clothes fit true to size, mediums fit like mediums not like larges, which is great. The colors they have chosen are also good, they definitely stand out in a crowd but not to the point were they look bad. The one thing I was a little disappointed with was that the original designs that I first saw on the P.B website were not available to buy, I hope that these designs get released at some point when the company gets a little more established.

Comfort.

This is the biggest appeal to me about P.B, the clothes are extremely comfortable. I find myself wearing the clothes all the time just because they feel so great. If you don’t believe me just ask my girlfriend, I get the comment “You’re wearing that T-shirt again” all the time. The T-shirt is made of a stretchy material and is not too thick or thin and is perfect to skate in. The track jacket is just as comfortable, its soft, fits well, and keeps me warm, plus it fits snugly to the body, which I like. These are some of the most comfortable clothes I own and I feel great wearing them anywhere.

Overall.

To me the biggest appeal about P.B clothing is the amazing comfort and the great design. The one downside is that there aren’t many other T-shirts, track jackets or hoodys for me to buy, but this is mainly because the company is in its initial stages. Also, it is hard to get the clothing because it is not sold in shops, so you have to go to skating events that P.B representatives or owners are at to buy it, this isn’t the companies fault though, and I hope shops pick up the line because the clothing is great. I hope to see P.B thrive and make more designs in the future

I have finished writing up my Project-Black clothing review and all that is left to do is to take pictures of the clothing, so expect the article up in the next 2 days, if not sooner.
