The crazy disaster 450 Back Royal that was done by Cyril Daniel in Barcelona has just been re-released on Youtube, and this time it is shot from many different angles so people can see the danger and ferocity of the hammer.

So you can check out his indepth interview HERE, and to get a little taste of his rolling, if you haven’t already checked him watch his Clip 3 section.

Fade Nation Video Review By Adam Johnson

Adam Johnson is an accomplished videoographer and editor, so I will take his word over mostly anyones for video reviews. He recently reviewed the upcoming Fade Nation video on the Be-Mag messageboard, the post can be found HERE. The review can also be seen right here.

Fade Nation is epic to say the least:

Introduction: Starts out like a soft core porn, fuzzy in hi-8 and then moves into some intense rapping from the usual suspects, haffey, schwabby, lee martin, sagona, etc. etc. Very sick song, very stoked.

Then we roll into Ben, the new guy. Not so new anymore and just coming into his own I wasn’t at all disappointed in his profile. However, if he ends another section with some sort of ao soul trick I will flip out. AM, 2feet, FN. Way to go on the song and the editing.

Note: the whole video is sprinkled with hilarious hi-8 clips much like checkmate is sprinkled with dancing and talking, both are good things, but ICONS is sprinkled with CRACK.

Rap edit: Aceyalone is the shit and the tricks in the section are bad ass. Lots of times you find a rock song in a hip hop video to appeal to rockers, but it looks hella shitty because it is a bunch of hip hop tricks timed shitty to rock, this is not the case. Opposite day in Cali and everyone is riding dirty, cameos by Ranier, Rachard probably, Lonnie, Jason Howard, JC, and the list goes on.

Lee Martin: New new kid on the block and he is a ripper, can’t remember if I liked the song (been editing aragon’s section for 5 hours) but I remember I was impressed with what he had coming out the gate, full force like schwabbies first joint. Nice dudes.

Then there is another edit that is sick, and a Marcus Benavides/ Stockwell/ go into a bunch of badass blader boy section. Killer shit and alex broskow holds down the end nicely.

Brings me full circle to the reason I started this post, haffey and his sage. Epic section and if you didn’t know yet, haffey is retarded…. not physically or mentally handicapped more of a should be commited for heinous crimes against concrete sort of psychopath. Let’s just say he did something at butterfield you shouldn’t ever do, on the rail and on some other shit. Furthermore never let rachard film when you are trying to eclipse his moon or eat his peanuts. Haffey is a badass and there isn’t anything that can slow him down. Kids if you want to be pro, don’t learn how to do 450 tricks, learn how to jump up to your armpits like haffey can.

Outro is funny as shit.

Not many bonus features.

Commercials were cool, “we need to get classier” (shamless plug.)

Thanks Lonnie for the sneak peakabo.

Shima and Elliot Start a New Skate Company

Thats right, the message was just announced on the Be-Mag main page, both Brian Shima and Jon Elliot are starting the first ever 100% owned skater-company (no Valo is not 100% skater owned). The announcement was made today, and states that the new skates should be out in time for the Christmas season this year. This will be the first company with no outside investors or middlemen in the picture. I have heard a rumor that the new skate company will have something to do with the classic Razor mold, but this is only a rumor and should not be taken for fact. Personally, I am excited to see a new skate company in the works, especially by people as established in our sport as Shima and Elliot, I wish them all the luck in the world.

Canadian Roll News # 186

Due to time constraints I have decided to edit and post the G.S.B pictures in sections (divided by the spots). This is the first of three sections of photographs. The next 2 sections will be much larger.
