Undercover Wheel Review

I received my Undercover Ricardo Lino wheels in the mail about 3 months ago, I will still in school so I didn’t get a chance to skate them much at first. When I first put them on my skates I found that they rolled well and had just the right amount of grip I needed to skate street, when skating a concrete park there was a 2 or 3 trick transition to get used to, but slipping out never became an issue. Seeing as they are 55MM/90A the transition from street to park wasn’t a big deal as these wheels are geared toward street skating and thats what I used them for most.

The durability of the wheels is what impressed. I have skated many wheels on the market and I have heard all the rumors of colored urethane being a weaker bond and not holding up to well, I can personally say that this was not an issue with my wheels. I skated nearly every day for 2 months and did not rotate my wheels and never had a problem. I never had any major chunking or flat spots, and the only reason I took them off my skates was because they were smaller then my anti-rockers.

In my opinion these are great street skating wheels with durability to handle even the roughest terrain. When it comes to park I could have used a bit more grip, but I knew what I was buying and what I was going to use them for. Overall, I think the wheels were some of the best wheels I have ridden and will be a returning customers to Undercover wheels.

Canadian Roll News # 143

A.J DeLong just posted up the eighth edition of Thursday Night Skate on Bladr, and this entry is long and packed full of crazy skating. This edition finds the guys at the Orangeville skate park and has 4 separate links to Youtube. The videos are excellent and well made, as we have come to expect from AJ, so I hope everyone checks them out and sees a little part of Ontario rolling.
