James St. Ours has recently left Empir3 distribution to join his family, who need him, in Ohio. He is not quitting being a pro roller but is taking a break to see to matters at home. All this information can be found on the Empir3 website. It seems James will be greatly missed, by the heart felt write up of his leaving.

Kizer

kizer-logo.gif

Seems Richie Eisler will be getting his own pro frame from Kizer in the near future. He recently stated on the Outaline messageboard that his new frame will be a fluid 3 design due to popular demand. No mention to when the frame will hit stores. A direct link to the thread can be found HERE.

Edit

Two friends of mine recently posted an indoor park edit which features two parks. One of the parks from my hometown of Hamilton, Ontario. The edit and the song are great and Steve Chappel did a great job with them. Both Steve and Roger Wilkinson skate well in this edit so check it out on Youtube HERE.

D-Structure just remodeled their whole website, it reminds me of the empir3 layout. The webstore itself has not been updated (The Canadian and American sections), but on the front page of the site it says it will be updated regularly so I’m sure updates to the store will be in the near future. You can also pick up Arlo Eisenberg’s art on the website ranging from a couple of hundred to about a grand and change, so if you have a lot of cash burning a whole in your pocket and want to own one of rollerbladings founding fathers art work check out the wesite.

Edit News

How is everyone doing in skating world? Here in Hamilton Ontario the weather has turned disastrous for skating. We are supposed to get hit with a heavy snow storm and looking outside right now it seems street skating is going to be a distant memory. Thats why when I went by the Visual Minority messageboard and saw an edit created by Jon Craig that was well made, it reminded me of summer days and going out all day and street skating. The edit is great and I think everyone should check it out. You can see the post HERE and a direct link to the edit HERE.

**New and improved version of the edit can be found HERE.**

Visual Minority just put up a Better Than Baseball review written by Brendan Shaughnessy. It is an honest review that makes many good points. The review focuses on the skating, the music and the over all feeling of the video. If you are on the fence whether to buy this video or not, I believe this review could help you make a decision. Just go to the main page of the Visual Minority community page to see the review, the website can be found at http://www.visualminority.com/

9 02 2007

Oli Bennet just added a picture of the new Deshi boot design on The Conference website. All you can see is the back of the skate, but even from the limited view you can see it looks different from the Deshi’s that are out now. The project for the new boot mold is called the CH1.
